Making Colour Patterns

Today we spent some time learning about patterns. We used our coloured blocks to create a simple pattern. 

Room 13 were so good at this so I asked them to create their own pattern. 

They did so well. Have a look at all the different colours in these patterns!

We then spent some time working together to make new patterns with our friends.

Walk to School Week

This week was Walk to School Week.
We all tried so hard to walk to school each day and we got to dress up as well.  

Pink Shirt Day and Certificates!

On Friday it was Pink Shirt Day. We had lots of children in Room 13 who wore pink shirts or accessories to support the idea of spreading kindness to each other.

We also had a Koru whanau assembly. Both Carlos and Miranda received certificates for all the hard work they've been doing lately. Well done!

Kelly Sports

On Monday we had our first session with Kelly Sports. 

We played some fun games and we learnt a bit about running. 

We now know that using our arms to help us run is much easier than running with them behind our backs!
