A Fantastic Assembly

Last Friday Samantha and Kayden received certificates at the Koru Whanau assembly. They have been working so hard with everything they do!

Room 13 also showed their firework art to everyone. Some children read their stories out. We have been trying to add adjectives to our writing and we were able to use so many when writing about fireworks! 

Drawing Shapes

This week for buddy class we went outside with some chalk and drew some shapes. 

Our big buddies helped us write the names of the shapes as well. 

We had a wonderful time drawing on the concrete!

Fine Motor Friday

On Friday we spent the afternoon practising our fine motor skills. We do this to help make the muscles in our fingers and hands nice and strong which helps with Writing, drawing and many other daily activities. 

To do this we had to use tongs or pegs to pick up and move small objects, we threaded string through little holes, we joined paper clips together to make a long line, we used cotton buds to paint dots and we played with playdough. 

Room 13 had so much fun. We want to do this all the time!

Buddy Class with Room 6

This term we had our first buddy class with Room 6. We all got matched up with a buddy and spent some time getting to know each other. 

We then chose a colouring page each and talked to each other while we were colouring. 

Our big buddies did such a good job of looking after us and getting to know us!

A Wonderful Assembly

On Friday room 13 shared their artwork at the Koru whanau assembly. 

Emme and Maddox received certificates for all the hard work they have been doing lately. 

Room 13 also won the class award for being amazing at assembly. Go us!

Greedy Cat

For the past two weeks Room 13 have been reading different Greedy Cat books. 

We were so surprised at all the different foods that he ate!

We made our own Greedy Cat pictures and drew some yummy foods that we thought he would like.
