Bike Track Fun!

Last week we got to have our first try on the new bike track! 
We had such an awesome time on our bikes and scooters. 

Today it was the official opening of our bike track. Jackson was chosen to ride around the track behind Mrs Venville after she cut the ribbon. It was so exciting!

We Went to The Auckland Zoo!

On Thursday the Koru Whanau went to The Auckland Zoo.

We were so excited to see the tuatara and the kiwi as we had learned lots about them in class before the trip.
We all did lots of walking and searching for the animals that were trying to hide from us. 
We loved the zoo!

This Weeks Certificate

This week at the whole school assembly Emme received a certificate for the empathy she shows her peers.

Book Character Day

In the last week of Term 3, Sunnyhills celebrated Literacy Week. 

At the end of the week we had a Book Character Parade. Here is a photo of us in our amazing costumes.

Poetry Festival

Today we had the Koru Whanau Poetry Festival. 

Three children from each class were picked to say their poem in the hall. 

Callum, Yasmin and Ashley did such a fantastic job saying their poems in front of all those people!

At the end they all received their certificates.
